Noémie PETTE, a 4th-year student at MoPA, presents SUMMER IS NOT LOADING, her one-minute graduation film from her 3rd year, based on the theme RETRO GAMING.
2024
A father desperately tries to fit all the suitcases into the trunk of his car.
Noémie wanted to create a film that resonates with all generations. Knowing she would complete her project at the beginning of summer, she chose the theme of vacations to craft a lighthearted and amusing story.
The idea of using a split-screen format was a challenge she had wanted to tackle for a while and plans to further explore in her future projects.
This concept required meticulous work on storyboarding and animation, stages she particularly enjoyed as they align with her specialization.
Everything related to rhythm in cinema fascinates her, and for this project, Noémie collaborated with a talented composer who shared her artistic vision.
Noémie loved creating Summer is not loading and hopes this film will make you laugh as much as it made her smile.
