David OPOH, a 4th-year student at MoPA, presents VERSUS, his 3rd-year final project: a one-minute film on the theme of RETRO GAMING.
2024
A baby kills his twin sister over a game he keeps losing to her.
For his 3rd-year final project, David chose to tell a humorous story that would be easy for the audience to grasp. This choice reflects his desire to create an accessible and entertaining animation, where characters and situations immediately captivate viewers.
However, the film's creation was not without its challenges. Animating facial expressions, which he had never done before, turned out to be his biggest hurdle. This meticulous work required precision and a great deal of patience, pushing David outside his comfort zone. Today, as he looks at the final result, he can take pride in how far he has come.
Among all the production stages, David particularly enjoyed working on the lighting and textures. Bringing his characters and their universe to life was an enriching experience that confirmed his decision to specialize in animation.
Finally, David wishes to thank the professors who supported and guided him throughout this project. With their assistance and his own dedication, he successfully tackled the challenges and brought his film to life.
