MoPA students explore the Annecy Festival
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the MIFA are two must-attend events in the industry, bringing together the biggest names for an entire week. This global event dedicated to animation celebrates the creativity and diversity of animation styles and techniques.
It was only natural for MoPA, the 3D animation school, to invite its students to experience this major event and meet industry professionals.
According to Yoni ARENA, Director of MoPA, attending MIFA allows students to increase their visibility, build recognition, expand their networks, and gain a better understanding of the market's recruitment needs and the demands of various animation studios.
For MoPA students, this event is an invaluable opportunity to meet industry experts, both national and international, receive feedback on their work and demo reels, and establish contacts for future internships or jobs.
"I had some really interesting and enriching encounters. I was able to speak with many professionals who gave me a lot of advice and ideas to improve my showreel. I’m really enjoying being here. It’s very educational."
Amélie, 2nd-year student in 3D Animation
The students of MoPA also had the pleasure of attending conferences on new technologies, participating in screenings, meeting experts and speakers, and discovering new short films. It offered a fascinating and enriching glimpse into current market trends.
The MoPA team was thrilled to provide their students with this experience.
See you next year, from June 8 to 15, 2025, for the next edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and its Market!
